My pick — and by my pick, I mean I definitely just bought one — is this cotton brushed checkerboard rug, available in two colors, marked down 30%. Urban is knocking another $50 off orders over $150, which makes the rug in 6-by-9 size just $138.30 (normally $269) or grab the larger 8-by-10 for $229 (normally $399). Shipping is free, but rugs that are 5-by-7 and larger carry a handling surcharge that runs between $19 and $39, depending on the size.

It’s not just rugs worth snatching up at Urban’s sweeping Fall Forward sale. The trendy retailer has loads of other home goods, including lamps, shelving, shower curtains, glassware and lots more at deep discounts. There are also pages of men’s and women’s apparel on sale during the limited-run event.

For the end-of-summer sale, Urban is giving a flat $50 off any order of $150 or more, $25 off any order of $100 and $15 off orders over $75. That includes for items that are already on sale (like the rug, for instance).
