This is the first electric smoker I purchased and I am glad I did. I do still have my old Charbroil smoker which I had to watch the smoker for hours to keep the temp where I wanted it. Now, I don’t have to worry. It has an ambient temp for the inside and comes with one thermometer with the ability to purchase another if you are cooking two types of meat. All I do now is set the temp, time, and add wood chips, and walk away. Check it for maybe an hour or two for the water pan to make sure the meat does not dry out. The wood chip bin is a good size also. The first thing I cooked was some Ribs, and man, the ribs came out perfect. The smoke flavor was on point too. Love this thing.
